The Guatemala Moving Forward plan prioritizes the Call Center and BPO industry and as a result, it has led to a favorable business climate in the nation for companies looking to expand their operations.

Diego Meneses is the trade commissioner of Guatemala at the Consulate General of Guatemala in Los Angeles. Before his diplomatic post, he worked as an investment promotion advisor at the Ministry of Economy of Guatemala. He also has experience working in multilateral organization such as the Inter-American Development Bank and the Organization of American States in the elaboration of socio-economic projects in vulnerable areas of Latin America. His main duties currently entail the promotion of guatemalan exports to the west coast of the U.S. and the attraction of foreign investment to Guatemala.
